A Lift AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) is a service agreement between a lift owner and a maintenance provider to ensure the regular upkeep and smooth functioning of the elevator system throughout the year. It covers routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and prompt repair services, aiming to reduce breakdowns, ensure user safety, and extend the lift’s lifespan.
There are generally two types of AMC: Comprehensive AMC, which includes the cost of spare parts and labor, and Non-Comprehensive AMC, which covers only service visits, with parts billed separately. The choice depends on the lift's age, usage frequency, and owner preference.
Under an AMC, certified technicians perform scheduled visits—typically monthly or quarterly—to check mechanical components, electrical systems, safety features, and general performance. Emergency breakdown support is usually included, ensuring minimal downtime in case of faults.
